About Petaluda Wellness
Helping You Move Beyond What’s Holding You Back
I created Petaluda Wellness for people who are tired of simply “getting through” life and ready to understand what’s actually keeping them stuck.
Through a combination of hypnotherapy, coaching, and honest, judgment-free conversation, I help people move beyond the patterns that keep them trapped in anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, limiting beliefs, and chronic stress.
My work is especially meaningful for high-functioning individuals who appear to have everything together on the outside, yet internally feel disconnected, exhausted, stuck, or unable to fully enjoy their lives.
Many of my clients come to me because they know, deep down, that there is more available to them. More peace. More confidence. More clarity. More purpose. They just can’t seem to figure out why they keep repeating the same emotional cycles or feeling held back despite all their efforts to move forward.
My Approach
Together, we explore the subconscious patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck, while combining practical tools and intuitive insight to support meaningful, lasting change.
Whether we're working through anxiety, rumination, confidence issues, gut-related stress conditions like IBS, or simply the feeling that something in life isn't quite aligned, the goal is always the same: helping you reconnect with yourself and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Nicole Fetsis | My Story
How Petaluda Wellness Came to Life
I’m originally from Northwest Indiana and now proudly call Seattle home. My own journey, shaped by resilience, deep self-discovery, and transformation, is what ultimately led me here.
For years, I built a career as a hairstylist, connecting deeply with my clients through conversation and trust. But over time, I began to recognize something bigger beneath those conversations. People weren’t just looking to feel better on the outside. They were craving confidence, clarity, peace, and a stronger connection to themselves. And honestly, so was I.
On the surface, I had learned how to “play the part.” Smile. Be kind. Keep it together.
But internally, I was struggling with anxiety, negative self-talk, emotional overwhelm, and a constant feeling that I was disconnected from who I truly was. No one really knew. I had become incredibly skilled at masking my emotions, my struggles, and even my ADHD.
That disconnect kept me stuck for a long time.
My journey wasn’t a straight line. It came with some very high highs and very low lows. But eventually, something shifted. I realized I was tired of living at the mercy of my thoughts, my fears, and the stories I had unknowingly carried for years. So I chose differently…
“I started doing the deeper work to better understand myself, challenge old beliefs, heal emotionally, and reconnect with who I truly wanted to become. That process changed my life in ways I never expected.”
Today, I feel more aligned, grounded, and connected to myself than ever before, and Petaluda Wellness was born from that transformation.
This work is deeply personal to me because I know what it feels like to look “fine” on the outside while struggling internally. I also know how powerful it can be when someone finally feels seen, understood, and supported without judgment.
That’s the kind of space I strive to create for every client who walks through my door.
Why the Name Petaluda?
The word Petaluda means “butterfly” in Greek, a meaningful connection to both my heritage and the idea of transformation itself.
For me, the butterfly represents growth, resilience, self-discovery, and becoming who you were always meant to be. Not through perfection, but through awareness, healing, and personal evolution.
That spirit of transformation is at the heart of everything I do at Petaluda Wellness.

Professional Training & Affiliations
While this work is deeply personal to me, it’s also grounded in professional training, continued education, and a strong commitment to supporting clients in an ethical, thoughtful, and informed way.
I’m a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and a Licensed Clinical Hypnotherapist in the state of Washington. I’ve also completed additional advanced training in areas including gut-directed hypnotherapy for IBS, subconscious and behavioral change work, emotional wellness, and holistic mind-body approaches to healing and personal growth.
My educational background includes studies through Indiana University, the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy (FMCA), PESI, the European Hypnosis Academy, and additional continuing education programs focused on nervous system regulation, emotional health, and transformational coaching methodologies.
At the same time, I believe credentials alone are never the whole picture..
The heart of my work is creating a space where people feel safe enough to be honest with themselves, supported enough to move forward, and empowered enough to create real and lasting change in their lives.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
This is where the real transformation happens.
Hypno coaching blends subconscious reprogramming with strategic guidance to create deep, lasting change — not just temporary awareness.
Instead of only talking through patterns or managing symptoms, we:
Identify the root cause at the subconscious level
Rewire limiting beliefs and emotional imprints
Shift the nervous system out of survival mode
Create new internal responses that actually stick
This is not surface-level work.
It’s for people who are ready to stop looping the same patterns and finally experience real change — mentally, emotionally, and physically.
-
This work can support a wide range of areas, including:
Anxiety, stress, and nervous system dysregulation
Gut health and IBS-related symptoms
Relationship patterns and emotional triggers
Confidence, self-worth, and identity shifts
Habits, behaviors, and subconscious blocks
If you feel “stuck” in any area of your life, there is often a subconscious pattern driving it.
-
Hypnosis is a natural, focused state of awareness where your mind becomes more receptive to new ideas, patterns, and perspectives.
In this state, we’re able to access the subconscious — the part of your mind that drives habits, emotional responses, beliefs, and even physical patterns in the body.
Rather than forcing change, hypnosis allows transformation to happen from the inside out.
-
No — you are always fully aware and in control.
Despite common misconceptions, hypnosis isn’t about someone “taking over” your mind. It’s a collaborative process where you remain conscious and can come out of the state at any time.
Think of it as being deeply relaxed and focused — similar to when you’re fully immersed in a movie or daydream.
-
Most people describe it as deeply calming, grounding, and almost meditative.
You may feel physically relaxed while your mind stays aware and engaged. Some people feel light, others feel heavy — there’s no “right” way to experience it.
What matters most is that your subconscious is engaged — that’s where the real shifts happen.
-
No belief is required — but openness helps.
You don’t need to “force” anything to happen. As long as you’re willing to engage in the process, your mind will naturally respond.
-
Yes — especially when it comes to the mind-body connection.
Research continues to show how the subconscious mind, nervous system, and body are deeply interconnected.
Modalities like hypnotherapy have been widely studied for areas such as stress, behavior change, and gut-related conditions.
-
This is not a one-size-fits-all process.
Unless you are enrolled in one of my tailored, structured programs, the number of sessions depends entirely on:
What you’re working through
How deeply rooted the pattern is
How your mind and body respond to the work
Some clients experience powerful shifts quickly, while others benefit from a more layered, ongoing approach.
During your consultation, we’ll map out what support will best serve you.
-
Both. I am currently based in Seattle but work with clients all over.
Virtual sessions allows you to be in a comfortable, familiar environment — which actually enhances the depth of the work. In person allows us to be in the same energy which is nice and powerful. Please note- I am able to do so virtually as well.
-
If you’ve:
Tried different approaches but still feel stuck
Become aware of your patterns but can’t seem to change them
Feel like there’s a deeper root to what you’re experiencing
Then this work may be exactly what you’ve been missing.
-
No.
My work is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or psychological condition, and it is not a substitute for therapy, medical care, or psychiatric support.
This is a complementary approach that works alongside your existing care (when applicable), supporting the mind-body connection and helping you access your own capacity for change and healing.
If you are currently under the care of a healthcare provider, I encourage you to continue that relationship and consult with them as needed. This work is about supporting your system — not replacing professional care.
-
I don’t offer one-off sessions.
This work requires mutual commitment — from both you and me — because real, lasting change happens through consistency, not quick fixes.
Instead, I offer a few different ways to work together depending on your needs:
Foundational 3-Session Experience
